Course Pre-Work
There are three parts to your course pre-work. The online components of your pre-work
need to be
completed by October 21st.
- Before the session, please read the article "Awake at the Wheel: Moving Beyond Change Management to Conscious Change Leadership."
- Select your live change project on which to apply your learnings. To prepare your case, answer the Project Planning Pre-Work questions available on-line – the link is below. I will be reviewing your answers prior to the training.
- Identify your Key Challenges on your project and the questions you have that you want answered in the session (found at the end of the pre-work questions).
REMEMBER: Your Project Planning Pre-Work
your Key Challenges need to be completed by October 21st.
Identifying Your Live Case for Application
To select your real-time change project, follow these parameters:
- If possible, select a case that is well under way. That
way, you can review your progress as well as make future
plans. If you select a case that is too new, you may not
have sufficient information to make good use of the
application segments.
- Try to choose a project that has a clear future state
that is different than the old way of operating. A
transformation case would be ideal where there is
significant change required in people's mindsets, behavior,
and the organization's culture, as well as in the operation.
If you are not currently working on a project
that fits these criteria, select a project you have recently
completed. You can reflect back on it using the program modules
as a guide.
Project Planning Pre-Work Questions
This part of your pre-work consists of six
questions. These questions are answered online and refer to the
current status of your live case. The link below will bring you
to the questions. Please print a hard copy to reference during
the program.
If you are working on the same case as other participants, we
suggest answering the questions individually first, and then
sharing them with your teammates to compare responses.
Key Challenges & Questions
This part of your pre-work is also completed online. Please click on the link below and proceed to last two questions.
- What key challenges or issues are you facing on your change project right now?
- What questions do you have about leading change that you are bringing to the program?
