The questions cover the background and history of the effort, its current status, and its future plans as known today. The best briefing interviews ask for the most focused and leveraged information.
Use this list to identify your priority questions. You will ask these questions of the people who have been most involved in the change up to now, or people who have clear views of it. It is typical to ask many of the members of your project community to add input to the briefing information. Given that this is a briefing and not a full-scale study, you must pick your questions and your sources carefully. The number and selection of people you actually interview will be a function of how far along the project is, the degree of agreement currently held, and how much the leaders have communicated to the organization already.
